What is Renuvion® / J Plasma Skin-Tightening?

We are very excited to offer this unique and minimally invasive skin tightening treatment to our patients. The Renuvion® system combines the unique properties of cold helium plasma with the efficiency of RF energy. Helium gas passes through an energized hand-piece/electrode, creating cold helium plasma. Combined with RF energy, this results in tightening of skin with controlled energy which safely heats the tissue and stimulates collagen production. It is now possible to safely obtain a youthful appearance and less sagging of skin almost anywhere in the body without large surgical incisions.

What are the benefits of Renuvion® / J Plasma Skin-Tightening?

With the Renuvion® / J Plasma skin tightening system, skin is heated at a markedly lower temperature than other RF systems or lasers. This allows for more controlled and precise treatment and decreases the amount of injury or trauma to surrounding soft tissues. This patented technology helps to make the Renuvion® system one of the safest procedures available to tighten the skin.

How is the Skin-Tightening procedure performed?

This procedure can be performed standalone with local anesthetic but is recommended to be combined with liposuction. Liposuction will remove any excess fat deposits in stubborn or unwanted areas including; abdomen, flanks, back, thighs, buttocks, chest, neck, arms, or face. The Renuvion® / J Plasma device is used in addition to help provide skin tightening which was previously not possible with liposuction alone.

Who is a candidate for Renuvion® / J Plasma Skin-Tightening?

Renuvion® / J Plasma is an ideal treatment for patients struggling with loose skin who desire to tighten the tissues without more invasive surgical procedures. The perfect candidates are patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who may have previously considered: abdominolasty/tummy tuck, brachioplasty/arm lift, thigh lift, or neck lift.

When can I excpect to see results?

The results from Renuvion® / J Plasma are visible immediately after the procedure in most patients but continue to improve over the following 3 to 6 months. Patients may experience mild bruising and swelling within the first several days after treatment, and any temporary discomfort can easily be managed with over the counter medications.
