Pectoral Implants (Pec Implants)

Pectoral muscle (chest area) development with implants increases the size and definition of the pectoralis major muscles.

Pectoral implants first started as a way for body builders, who could not get enough muscular development in the chest with exercise.

In some cases, pectoral implants are also done to improve a congenital (appearing from birth) chest deformity which has caused the chest to appear too flat compared to the surrounding structure.

Pectoral implants are always placed under the muscle. These muscle enhancements are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to accommodate the natural chest anatomy and the ultimate goal of any patient.

About procedure

A pec implant procedure is performed with the patient under general anesthesia. The implants are inserted through a small incision in the armpit and are kept in place by the pectoralis muscle. The muscle function is not hindered nor is the ability for the muscle to be exercised once the patient has completely recovered. Normal activity can be resumed after as little as one week following pectoral implant surgery. Strenuous activity and exercise can be resumed in about 6 weeks.

Pectoral implants have become a popular solution for thousands of men seeking to improve and enhance the appearance of their chest and look more sculpted and muscular.
