LaserCap™ is the only portable low-level laser device for thinning hair that is medically managed. It fits in any cap and is the only way to undergo Low Level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) for hair growth on the go because it is completely portable and easy to use, hands-free.
The Device/How it Works
LaserCap™ features 224 individual 650nm 5mW lasers in a flexible, hermetically sealed dome shaped membrane that fits comfortably in almost any hat. It is powered by a small belt-clip battery pack and offers patients the low level laser power of an in office clinical unit in the comfort of your home. The team behind the LaserCap™ set out to develop a superior device with the power and coverage of an inoffice dome unit, but in a portable design. They designed a device that fits in a variety of hats and is powered by a portable battery pack. The entire target zone is treated throughout the duration of treatment, and the user can perform almost any activity during use, including walking, jogging, making dinner, working, and more.
LaserCap™ versus Other LLLT Devices
LaserCap™ versus FDA Cleared Home Device & FDACleared In-Office Dome – LaserCap™ uses the same laser diode wave-length and output power per laser as an FDA-cleared low-level-laser device for hair loss; however, LaserCap™ has 224 laser diodes versus 9 laser diodes in the FDA-cleared device and LaserCap™ treats the entire affected scalp simultaneously with an accurate and adjustable light dosmetry. LaserCap™’s dosimetry may be set significantly higher than the FDA cleared comb device and significantly higher than in office dome devices; this higher dosimetry combined with consistent regular use (i.e., patient compliance) may be essential for effectiveness, according to the photomedicine experts.

How do I use LaserCap™?
Insert the LaserCap™ into any hat of you desire, or the one provided to you. Then fully charge the battery pack when in the off position. Connect the battery pack to LaserCap™. Turn on the power switch and wear per your physician’s instructions. *
Can I put LaserCap™ in any hat?
Yes you can fit it into any hat large enough to hold it, such as a baseball cap, beanie, summer hat, etc. Or you may wear it without a hat.
Does it work for women?

Can I use LaserCap™ along with Rogaine or Propecia?
Yes you can use LaserCap™ along with any other treatments such as Rogaine/Minoxodil, Propecia/Finasteride. *

Can I use LaserCap™ while being active, such as jogging, walking, in the car, etc?

How do I charge my LaserCap™?
Just plug in the charger into a wall outlet and then plug charger into battery pack with battery pack switch in the ‘off’ position, then wait until green light appears on the charger. *
Is it ever too early to use LaserCap™?
My hair isn’t thinning but all my dad and uncles have lost their hair. There may be evidence that LaserCap™ may slow or stop hair loss but it needs to be formally studied. Also, if you have quite a bit of hair then very little light may reach the scalp. How long does it take to charge LaserCap™?
Around 4 hours; however, you can plug it in overnight after use as the power pack has protection against overcharging. *
Is LaserCapTM FDA cleared?
Not yet as the FDA clearance process takes some time; however there are two laser devices that have received FDA clearance for hair re-growth, a hand held comb like device with 9 lasers for men and an in office laser hood with 90 lasers for women. LaserCap™, with 224 individual lasers and uses the same type of laser as both these devices. *

Is there a warranty for LaserCap™? Yes.LaserCap™ is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 36 months from date of purchase. If LaserCap™ is determined to be defective, LaserCap™ will repair or replace it at no charge during the warranty period. If for any reason the buyer wants to return the LaserCap™, the product can be returned within the first year (365 days) from date of purchase minus a 25% restocking fee.This Warranty and Return-Refund Policy does not cover damages caused by acts of God, misuse, negligence, accident, or modification of any part of the unit as determined by our return department. LaserCap™ is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 3 years from date of purchase. If a LaserCap™ is determined to be defective, LaserCap™ will repair or replace it at no charge during the warranty period. The powerpack will be replaced free of charge during the 1st year of use, and then for a charge not to exceed $50 plus any shipping charges, duties on non-USA shipments, taxes, and any other associated extra fees incurred by LaserCap Company to replace the powerpack.

If, for any reason, the buyer wants to return LaserCap™, the product may be returned within the first year (365 days) from date of purchase minus a 25% return fee along with any shipping charges, credit card fees, duties on non-USA purchases, taxes, and any other associated extra fees incurred by LaserCap Company.
